Based in Adelaide, our National Airports team are now seeking a Project Engineer for our Airports estimating team to compile tenders for Airport projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies and procedures. This role will see you play a crucial part in pricing and delivering key major projects across the state and country. It will enable to you gain career experience in technical, design, operational, estimating and construction disciplines. Primary Responsibilities: The ability to lead the process of compiling estimates and tenders for road construction projects and obtain accurate pricing. Able to read and interpret tender documentation, including construction drawings and detailed specifications. Develop positive working relationships within the estimating team and work cohesively with clients. Demonstrate sound judgement and negotiation skills when it comes to pre-contract negotiations. Develop a strong understanding of both direct and indirect costs. AutoCAD experience is preferred but not essential. Understanding of Project Management including programming/scheduling, contractual administration, procurement, and technical aspects. Managing client, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships, through the tendering process. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer delivering Airport projects, with pavements and asphalt experience advantageous. You will have a bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualifications and a real passion and desire to strive towards a future leadership opportunity. Flexibility to work nightshift and weekends will be required. Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
