Senior Project Engineer — Newcastle Region, New South Wales

They are a major integrated renewable energy developer and energy retailer, leading the way in innovation and project development. About the Role: Based at Australia’s largest operational power station in New South Wales and focusing on delivering one of Australia’s largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The Senior Project Engineer will be the technical interface with the project engineering teams, contractors, site operational staff to ensure the project is completed to a high standard and support the project director with project management activities. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide onsite engineering, project management and technical focus for the project Be the technical interface with project engineering teams, contractors, site operational staff to ensure the project is completed to a high standard and support the project director with project management activities Actively support the HSE requirements and standards on site to ensure the works are delivered safely Provide engineering and technical coordination for the project Ensure that quality related processes and practices undertaken achieve a high outcome standard Establish and maintain positive working relationships Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification and/or engineering degree Engineering experience (5-8 years) with relevant legislative and HSE knowledge Good level of power generation, renewables or heavy industry knowledge and experience, preferably in BESS A high level of Quality management and Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills Chartered Professional Engineer or having the ability to become a chartered engineer Experience with installation of HV reticulation systems, switch room buildings and associated electrical equipment Ability to work within and provide leadership to cross functional/discipline teams How to Apply If you are interested in the position, please apply now with your updated CV.
