UGL Defence has recently commenced an Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract for the Defence Fuels network. We are recruiting a Senior Project Engineer, to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation. The Role The Senior Project Engineer, reporting into the Engineering & Strategic Asset Manager, will ideally be based in our Defence Hub in North Sydney, although Brisbane location can be considered. This role is responsible for, but not limited to: Support the maintenance delivery of the Defence Fuels Network as the main point of contact for engineering support and engage with SME's as required Develop and manage engineering scope of work Coordinate the development and delivery of business processes and take ownership of the Systems Engineering Management Plan & Joint Special Licences Plan Contribute to the development of continuous improvement within the Engineering function Collaborate with various stakeholders including engineering SME's, O&M team, projects team and the client On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team: The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Bachelor's degree in relevant field (engineering, project management) Proven experience working in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar industry is essential Proven ability to manage fuel related projects in a complex and dynamic environment Exceptional communication skills with ability to effectively present complex information to stakeholders Flexibility to travel to various sites across the network (regionally and nationally) Current holder, or ability to obtain appropriate defence security clearance UGL - Big projects.
