About the role: Origin Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to provide technical support, design implementation, and maintenance for our Integrated Gas control system assets. In this role, you will work across a various facilities and equipment, including GPF, PCFs, WTFs, Wells, HV Kiosks, and Pipelines, utilizing DCS, SIS, RTUs, SCADA, PLCs, HV Controllers, and Alarm Management technologies. Key responsibilities: Ensure the integrity and performance of the Process Control System (PCS) and Safety Integrated System (SIS) to meet availability and reliability requirements. Optimise and maintain process control loops, operator alarm systems, and develop obsolescence and migration strategies. Develop business cases, define scopes of work, and manage detailed designs for control system modifications. Provide technical expertise and advice on Process Control Systems (PCS) to the Integrated Gas business as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Conduct root cause investigations of system faults and implement solutions to restore system performance to meet business standards. Ensure all control system changes comply with Origin's Engineering Assurance Procedures and the Management of Change (MOC) process. What you will bring? Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Extensive hands-on expertise with DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA, and related control system infrastructure. Advanced understanding of control systems and process automation principles. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to developing effective solutions. Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team, share knowledge, and contribute to team performance. and contribute to team performance.
