ROLE SNAPSHOT Site Reliability Engineer role responsible for ensuring operational performance, support & ongoing enhancement of this modern HA platform hosted in AWS and utilising K8s, Terraform, Gitlab. Act as a technical lead implementing modern technologies contribute to SRE design, test, implementation & enhancement of key systems. Hybrid working. Responsibilities: Lead Incident Management (including Root Cause Analysis), Problem Management, Release Management. Platform monitoring/alerts (incl set up) Build, deploy, manage & support AWS public cloud infrastructure. Linux system administration. Deploy, manage & support Kubernetes (EKS) containers. Build & deploy IaC using Terraform. Maintain technical documentation. Involvement in paid on-call support and after-hours roster. Project involvement: Key contributor to cloud infrastructure design & enhancement. Lead new initiatives and continuous improvements to enhance platform availability, resilience, security, and operational excellence. Lead non-functional design / testing / runbook / delivery. Automate platform build / release. Design / test / utilise CI/CD pipelines. REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES Suited to an SRE / IT Ops Engineer with AWS & Containers experience supporting HA enterprise environments. Ideal for someone curious, who loves to learn, and has a genuine interest in the evolution of technology - DevOps, and the Cloud. The following is required: Core technical skills in Linux System Administration and AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch etc). Experience deploying & managing Containers. IaC tooling experience. Strong IT Operations background monitoring and providing operational support & troubleshooting to HA production infrastructure. Sound knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management. Relevant certifications - AWS Certified Solution Architect, CKA, RHSA etc Familiarity with ITIL (ideally ITIL v4) Display strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate curiosity eagerness/enthusiasm to learn. Delivery and automation focused mentality with a strong sense of ownership/accountability and team collaboration. This is a full-time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD (hybrid WFH options available) and is offering circa $140,000 - $148,600 (plus super) paid on-call allowance bonus potential.
