Electrical Project Engineer — Surry Hills, Sydney

$130k super 12 month contract with opportunity for permanent position Global company Our client is a global leader in manufacturing and gas handling solutions across sectors including power generation, oil and gas, waste water, metals, mining, infrastructure and transport. Due to growth we are seeking an Electrical and Instrument Engineer to join their team. Within this role you will support the Engineering team with site related work predominantly on mine sites including tenders, design, installation, testing and commissioning of projects on customer sites nationally. The role: Responsible for on time and on budget delivery of site installations Source and manage site installation crew Coordinate activities with site supervisor and supervisors of other disciplines on site e.g. mechanical contractors, civil contractors etc. Liaise with clients site representatives and develop/maintain good relationship Troubleshooting and hands on fault finding as required Inspection and testing of equipment Develop testing, commissioning, isolation, energisation on other project related procedures Provide assessment of existing EC&I installations Prepare and review RFQs for site installation work and material for projects Cost reduction for EC&I site installations by managing the site contractors and their activities Support the EC&I team at delivering tenders on time and projects on time and budget. What we’re looking for: Qualified electrician with valid supervisory certificate Qualified in health and safety requirements for site work Certified to sign-off non hazardous installations Qualified as hazardous area electrician (favourable) Certified to sign-off hazardous installations (favourable) Knowledge of MV, LV, control & instrumentation installations Knowledge of hazardous area installations Able to use various testing equipment. Excellent understanding of Isolating and energisation procedures Good understanding of MV, LV, control and instrumentation equipment Good Experience in EC&I mining installation surface and underground Good experience in testing and fault finding Good experience in installation crew management Excellent experience in Health and Safety related issues and activities on site Computer literate (Word and Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) Good verbal and written communication skills Some drafting skills with AutoCAD Experience in developing and reviewing RFQs Excellent knowledge on the relevant EC&I installation relater Australian standards for non hazardous and hazardous area Knowledge of using PLC program during commissioning (advantageous) Ability to juggle multiple project tasks On offer: $130k super 12 month contract with potential for permanency Global company Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth and development If you're looking for the next step in your career, APPLY TODAY SCR-suzie-ninevski Who is A.I.R Recruitment?
