How will I help? The Senior Engineer is responsible for the delivery of Appian projects within Technology Operations - Appian is a Westpac strategic workflow platform operating as a PaaS. Group Operations Technology are partners to Group Operations Business as they continue to look for improvements and efficiencies to create a better future for our customers. The focus is on Simplification, Digitisation and Automation. You will be working very closely with the business project teams, CTO and numerous solution provider teams across the wider Group Tech community. Other key stakeholders include technology and operations risk teams. The ideal candidate will support the team and provide designs aligned with Architecture, design principles using Appian, Database and API expertise. The ideal candidate must have 7 years Appian experience and have financial services industry experience. They must also have excellent stakeholder management and communications experience as this role will involve working with multiple stakeholder groups. The role must be based in Sydney and will require attending the office 2-3 days a week. Responsibilities will include: Assessing Pipeline opportunities according to the agreed process and guidelines. Document a solution design to be developed on Appian platform. Assist with resolution of requirements and solution design issues in pipeline assessments and delivery. Ensure Solution Designs observe CTO guidelines. Ensure Solution Designs are subject to risk oversight. Actively calling out risks and issues Ongoing solution design activities during project delivery phases Contribute to community of practice. Contributing to the design and dev best practices Accountable for end-to-end solution designs focussed on Appian but not limited to Appian. Potentially lead team of engineers and provide guidance to the team as design SME Accountable for ensuring the design best practices are followed in line with broader Westpac Design and Dev communities.
