Senior BMS Controls Engineer — Wellington, Wellington Area

About the company: Our client is a Kiwi-owned company specialising in the provision of building automation solutions for commercial, research, and government facilities. They have adopted an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient approach to their business operations and work on an increasing number of "green" building and energy management projects. About the role: We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and technically orientated person to join our client's team as a BMS Controls Engineer. This is a full-time position based in Wellington. You will bring your relevant work experience and knowledge to come in and hit the ground running. You will be a self-motivated, self-managing, team player. The role involves the following key areas: Project management of building automation projects from initial sales handover to final completion. Configuration and programming of building automation systems controllers Creation of intuitive system graphics. System engineering including finalizing equipment selections and system functional operations. Creation of control drawings. Engineering and creation of controls operational descriptions. On site commissioning and testing of automation systems and field devices. Project handover with provision of as built documentation and client training. Ongoing system support, troubleshooting and servicing work. Keeping up to date with automation system technology, integration solutions and data networks. About you: A qualification in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering. Preferably a fully qualified, NZ registered electrician. Experience working with Siemens or Tridium building automation working with products such as Desigo CC, PX Automation, Apogee, Desigo Xworks or Niagara. Experience working with Control Panels, DDC panels, Touch Screens, HVAC control systems etc. Proficient with computers, operating systems and software with some understanding of networks. Good problem-solving skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build their career.
