Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join our client's engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design within the mining sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of this field. This role involves the development, design, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment used in mining operations. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment specifically for mining applications. Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet industry standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed designs. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the installation, commissioning, and operation of mining equipment. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mining technology and mechanical engineering practices. Ensure all designs comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on the mining industry. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Strong knowledge of mining operations and mechanical systems used in the mining industry. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly. Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mining and mechanical engineering. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
