About the OPPORTUNITY We have exciting opportunities for Software Engineer's to join our projects based in our Melbourne offices (CBD & Richmond). You'll have interaction with many other teams and stakeholders, as well as engineers in other disciplines. To align with our approach to flexible working, these roles also offer a 9 day fortnight. We're a strong team that takes pride in what we do and how we work together, with a lot to offer a software engineer looking to expand their skillset. Key responsibilities include: Working across all aspects of our High Frequency Surveillance Export programs Undertaking all assigned Software Engineering activities, including related documentation, in accordance with identified project directives and standards, and commensurate with the lifecycle stage of the project Proactively providing status update information to relevant stakeholders, such as supervisors and/or project managers About YOU You will have: Demonstrated Software Engineering experience Software Engineering or relevant STEM degree qualification Satisfy requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Australian Computer Society, or equivalent An understanding of the Software Development lifecycle Demonstrated working knowledge of C++ Programing language (preferably on Linux) Experience in object orientated programming and development experience with the Qt framework; desirable Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of tools and Configuration and Change Management principles and tools, such as Git; desirable Eligibility to obtain a Defence security clearance and to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
