Software Engineer — Eagle Farm, Brisbane

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Software Engineer to join our small, in-house team. This is a full-time position based at our Eagle Farm, Brisbane office location with potential for remote work flexibility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT systems and applications. With proficiency in C#, .NET 8, Postgres, Entity Framework, Typescript, and React, including a solid understanding of modern software engineering principles and practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Administration Assistance: Collaborate with management to administer and maintain company systems, ensuring efficient and secure operations. 2. Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, security, and availability to ensure optimal operation. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to minimize downtime. 3. IT Support: Provide technical support to staff members, resolving IT issues promptly and effectively. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize disruptions to workflow. 4. Installation and Setups: Lead the installation and setup of IT systems and applications, ensuring seamless deployment and integration with existing infrastructure. Coordinate with teams and vendors as needed to facilitate successful implementations. 5. DevOps and SysOps Management: Assist in managing cloud-based solutions, Linux Virtual Machines, databases, Git repositories, Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and automated workflows. 6. Software Engineering: Develop and maintain software applications using .NET 8, Postgres, Entity Framework, Typescript, and React. Apply object-oriented principles, implement dependency injection, conduct integration testing, and utilize ORM frameworks effectively. Preferred skills, qualifications & experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience in software development and IT systems administration. Certifications relevant to Microsoft, AWS, or other related technologies are advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft environments (Windows, Exchange, Entra). Experience with VoIP systems (3CX) and Amazon Web Services architecture (SES, Lambda, Eventbridge, EC2). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
