About the Role We are seeking a talented engineering professional to join a team responsible for providing directional guidance to the business through the execution of mechanical engineering activities while accounting for uncertainty and risk. The diverse range of work will include: Undertaking governance and technical stewardship duties Providing technical assistance to site operations and engineering projects Focus on delivering value, through application of your strong decision-making and collaboration skills Ability to work independently on small to medium size projects. About You We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster strong working relationships and with a demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyse information, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude. Key qualifications and skills include: Degree in Mechanical engineering Experience in engineering design and technical report writing Preferably, technical knowledge on mining material handling equipment such as crushers, balance machines, conveyors, and car dumpers Good understanding and knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and procedures Demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders Experience managing engineering consultants to deliver positive results in safety, quality assurance/control, culture, and productivity Location You will be based at one of the mine sites in the Eastern Pilbara, either Jimblebar or Newman Operations on a fly-in fly-out roster and be accommodated in the Warrawandu village. The outstanding facilities at our FIFO villages include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, BBQ facilities, and activity/games room. All rooms at the villages have their own en suite bathroom, television, refrigerator, and air-conditioning.
