We are seeking a Design Engineer for our Filtration product line. Job scope: Join our dynamic and impactful global Upgrades and Rebuilds (U&R) team, where your contributions are key to delivering exceptional solutions worldwide. Responsibilities: Led the design of innovative U&R solutions for filtration products, leveraging our extensive legacy installed base. This includes technologies such as dewaxing and SOD Filters, driving forward sustainable solutions. Manage and oversee all U&R engineering tasks for filtration products in close collaboration with product engineering during L2O and O2O processes. Products encompass Disc Filters, Drum Filters, Horizontal Pan Filters, Horizontal Belt Filters, Automatic Filter Press, and Pneumapress, ensuring adherence to SLAs. Provide expert technical support, contributing to Upgrade Packages (GSLMs), Proposals, Audits & Studies, Exchange teams, and regional site sales and professional services teams. Analyze customer technical specifications and undertake comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate and refine proposed U&R solutions, ensuring feasibility. Innovate and streamline processes for U&R opportunities, aiming for faster turnaround times compared to traditional capital projects, while maintaining budget and quality standards. Conduct thorough engineering calculations and problem-solving to address complex design challenges within U&R projects. Collaborate closely with Product BL engineers to align U&R engineering solutions with supported products and our mission-zero objectives, fostering sustainable practices. Drive the enhancement of U&R engineering design and change management processes, working alongside BL product engineering teams to adapt and improve practices. Ensure strict adherence to U&R workflows and achieve targeted SLAs, maintaining operational efficiency. Manage intellectual property associated with legacy products no longer supported by product engineering, safeguarding valuable innovations. Ensure compliance with FLS R&D guidelines and gateways, minimizing risks associated with new U&R engineering solutions. Travel as needed to job sites in support of GSLM and U&R projects, facilitating seamless project execution. Produce comprehensive monthly reports for the U&R engineering manager, highlighting achievements, identifying and addressing challenges, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). Promote a culture of safety, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your team, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Manufacturing, Materials Science) or a related field. Prior experience leading or managing a technical team Ability to interpret and apply test reports to effectively size equipment. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in engineering, preferable in industrial equipment Proficiency in advanced engineering software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM tools (Enovia). Familiarity with document control processes. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Proven ability to coordinate seamlessly with global teams. Demonstrated independent thinking and a structured approach to tasks. Dedication to teamwork, motivation, and fostering a supportive work environment. Strong emphasis on ensuring quality and delivering documents promptly to meet project timelines. Knowledge of Filtration products helpful such as Dorr Oliver, Eimco Drum, and SOD Filters.
