We are seeking a Signalling Engineer to become a valuable member of our SQ Rail team based in Brisbane. GHD's Rail division boasts a proven history of successfully delivering projects focused on the planning and design of railway infrastructure. The team is dedicated to producing high-quality output for clients, creating ample opportunities for professional growth and development within the rail sector in South-East Queensland. The ideal candidate will bring specialised knowledge in rail signalling, delivering technical guidance to signalling teams on a project-specific basis while demonstrating effective leadership qualities. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Delivering projects to budget, time and quality. Typically, projects may include strategic planning studies, feasibility studies, concept and detailed design projects, maintenance plans and reviews and operational studies. There will be significant emphasis on the development and delivery of multidiscipline projects in all rail-based technologies. Provide technical / design expertise into projects as required. What you will bring to the team: Candidates will have relevant electrical engineering degree or recognised tertiary qualification; and, Membership of a relevant Engineering Institution or other professional body 5 years postgraduate experience. Ideally, candidates will possess knowledge of rail systems and the rail industry and depending on discipline) specific experience in: Translating Operators' requirements into functional specifications. Preparation of Signalling Plans. System design for Interlockings, control systems, lineside equipment, automatic train protection systems (and other safety overlays), train describer systems, fibre optic communications systems, transmission equipment, microwave systems, radio systems, level crossing contrail, warning systems, CCTV, Information systems.
