IP Network Engineer Initial 6 months contract Work with Global mining client Experience with IP Network technologies & mining or heavy industrial About Client: Our client is a global mining client, looking for a IP Network Engineer with network with mining or heavy industrial experiecne in the Perth CBD Roles and Responsibilities: Design and Implementation: Design and deploy IP communication systems. Ensure optimal configuration and integration of IP communication systems with existing network infrastructure. Conduct quality assurance activities on newly commissioned network nodes and assist with handover to the operational team. System Maintenance and Support: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IP communication systems to ensure reliability, high availability, and performance. Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and efficiency. Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Impact assessments, and Level 2 Risk assessments. Network Management: Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support IP communications. Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize IP traffic and ensure optimal performance. Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning to support IP communications growth. Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience such as CCNP Minimum years of telecommunications-based experience within a large enterprise/carrier or integrator. Experience in mining, industrial/oil and gas, or manufacturing is preferred. Extensive knowledge of IP Network technologies, network infrastructure, communication protocols, and 24/7 network operations. Strong understanding of IP Transport/transmission, IP Routing/Switching, and QoS planning and optimization.
