The Opportunity: The Lead Platform Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of patterns and practices for delivering best of breed platforms and processes as well as assisting the Senior Manager, DevOps, BI & Engineering Platforms to; build an engaged developer community, provide guidance and leadership on key technologies to the wider development group, and mentor or coach other members of the Platform Engineering team. The key duties of the position include Your expertise will be pivotal in mentoring our development teams, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement. As a thought leader, you will elevate our Center of Excellence (CoE) by presenting solutions and concepts, ensuring our practices remain cutting-edge and aligned with industry standards. Additionally, you will define standards, policies, and KPIs to optimise platform adoption and operational performance, contributing significantly to our organisational success. You'll also be responsible for: Leading the development and maintenance of core platforms, delivering solutions that enhance developer productivity and meet business requirements. Mentoring and coaching development teams, advocating for best practices and ensuring adherence to architectural and security standards. Driving the evolution of our CoE through thought leadership and proactive engagement with stakeholders.
