Brooks - Laboratory Automation Systems, specialise in the design and manufacture of compact, innovative benchtop automation for optimising pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology and analytical laboratories, and has installations worldwide. We are searching for a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer as we accelerate our growth journey. What you'll do: Design comprehensive verification and validation strategies and plans for laboratory automation equipment, ensuring they align with ISO 13485 standards. Create detailed test protocols based on product requirements and regulatory standards. Ensure that these protocols adequately cover all necessary performance criteria and safety features. Conduct testing of prototype products using the developed protocols, including both hardware and software components, to verify and validate the product's performance, usability, and reliability. Analyse test data to determine whether the system meets the defined specifications and performance metrics. Prepare detailed reports of the testing outcomes. Identify, document, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the verification and validation processes. Propose engineering solutions to address and resolve these issues. Maintain thorough documentation for all verification and validation activities. Ensure that all documentation complies with ISO 13485 standards and can support regulatory submissions and audits. Work closely with other engineering teams (e.g., design, production, quality assurance) to integrate and align the verification and validation activities with overall project objectives. Participate in risk assessment activities, helping to identify potential risks associated with the equipment, and validating the effectiveness of risk control measures. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving verification and validation strategies and processes, aiming to enhance efficiency, compliance, and product quality. What you'll bring: Relevant tertiary Engineering qualifications in a related discipline 5 years experience in the design and execution of test campaign for new products Proven ability to meet pre-determined timeframes An adaptable problem solver A strong communicator, capable of building effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams at all levels of the organisation A strong communicator capable of working directly and effectively with all stakeholders An eye for detail A solutions oriented focus, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Excellent critical thinking, diagnosis and problem solving skills, Demonstrable ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver results, Experience delivering products within an ISO 13485 Quality System is desirable A strong team player, mentor and coach for junior colleagues.
