Located within our Support and Life of Asset Planning Group, the purpose of this role is to: support our underground operating assets to safely deliver to plan and schedule provide technical leadership to support underground operating assets build capability and achieve operational efficiencies provide expert integrated risk and assurance support to underground operating assets provide mining support to merger, acquisition, divestment and project development opportunities Our people are as diverse as our assets, and the work is varied. Based from our Melbourne Head Office, you will partner with colleagues from Peru, Africa, China, Laos and Australia, to gather information and provide best practice advice and governance to align the assets to MMG's strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple underground operations and work closely with site teams to add value, reduce risk and achieve operational efficiencies. To be considered, we ideally seek: extensive mining engineering experience across the various aspects related to underground base metal mining operations, with particular attention to long and short term mine planning, operational issues, and safety. strong working knowledge of continuous improvement processes and methods. advanced Mining Planning software skills skills in research, stakeholder engagement, communication, report writing, presentation, problem solving and constructive thinking in relation to mining operations. demonstrated ability to provide detailed advice on planning and operational issues associated with underground mining operations. experience developing, implementing and managing operational strategies and processes for mining operations. bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Mining Engineering) At MMG, we offer: Competitive salary packages and incentive plans A values-driven and collaborative work environment, bringing diverse people together Hybrid working arrangements to allow you to maintain the flexibility that you value 4 months paid parental leave and superannuation contributions for up to 12 months Contribution toward a gym membership of your choice.
