Senior Network Engineer - Connected Technology Group — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Job Description Our Connected Technology Group (CTG) defines and drives the digital, data and technology strategy for KPMG. We have an important advocacy role for technology in the market and across KPMG, working with our technology leaders to build our market presence. We cultivate collaboration and integrate tech execution across our business, driving a firmwide approach to how we go-to-market and build the capability of our people and attract new talent. The primary focus of this role is to provide design, technical implementation, maintenance services, and ongoing operational support for local area networks, wide area networks, cloud based networks, wireless networks, security systems such as Firewalls, Internet, load balancer and telephony systems and associated applications. Alongside this, the Senior Engineer will provide comprehensive advisory services including design, scoping and technical support to the Enterprise and Solution Architecture Team, Project Management Office (PMO). It is expected the role can provide well written High level and well as Detailed Designs and support and operations artefacts. As a senior within the team it is expected that the role is able to provide support and mentoring of more junior team members as well as project manage internal network implementation/upgrades. Your Opportunity Undertake analysis, technical design, implementation and maintenance of local and wide area networks incorporating technologies such as Cloud Services, Telephony, Content management, Internet services, network management, backbone routing and switching, Security Systems and wireless data services Undertake services support for client’s issues Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow when performing Incident, Request and Change tasks within agreed SLA targets. Provide technical support to the Firm dealing with complex service queries and problems with clients’ local area networks and/or wide area networks, wireless and Unified Communications solutions Ensure activities are performed in a timely manner, in accordance with the contracted terms and agreed specifications Manage a personal timesheet, within guidelines and timeframes Ensure corporate customer satisfaction standards are met, ensuring follow up with clients to ensure that they are satisfied with service or products provided Maintain industry Certification standards across our Technology stack Work as a team player, assisting other team members to achieve their goals, and Ensure compliance with KPMG’s Quality and Project Management Systems. Maintain accurate documentation that fits with ITS Network standards and contributes to the broader objective of National Standards, Review and sign off on Detailed Designs, Implementation and Test plans. Develop Junior and Mid-level Engineering skills Ensure work note information is accurate and relevant in each ticket and will allow others to understand what the issue is, what you have done in relation to specific trouble shooting steps. On resolution detail what steps you took to fix the issue. Be customer, and delivery focused, organised and capable of delivering in full and on time during business hours and after hours (as required). Actively identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations to Team Management. How are you extraordinary?
