Senior Project Engineer - Water Treatment Plant — Brisbane CBD, Brisbane

Oversee the detailed design of water treatment plants in this Brisbane-based role. Potential to transition into a site-based role for construction. 6-month contract (with potential 12-month extension) Office-based, Monday to Friday position, with hybrid setup (mix of in office and work from home) Flexible engagement type: Fixed-term contractor or via your own ABN $130 to $150 per hour (all inclusive) About the Opportunity In this role, you will report to the Principal Project Engineer and work in our Brisbane office as part of our Group Projects team. Your focus will be on managing the detailed design of major water treatment plant projects at our Capricorn Copper mine in Queensland. Initially commencing as a 6-month contract role during the design phase, this position has the potential to transition into a senior project engineering role on-site for the construction phase, with an additional 12-month contract extension. Your primary responsibilities during the design stage will include: Design scopes, Detailed design reviews, Estimating and procurement, Project planning and scheduling, Tendering, Project cost control and reporting, and Documentation and handover packages. About You Our preferred candidate will have strong project engineering and management experience, including exposure to both the design and construction stages of projects. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Tertiary mechanical engineering degree. Formal project management qualification. Manual driver’s licence. Experience with the design of water treatment facilities, and an understanding of how mineral processing plants function.
