About the Role: This proactive role demands an Engineering Tradesperson to spearhead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and handle basic electrical tasks. Showcase your fabrication finesse in sheet metal work and welding, ensuring optimal machinery performance and safety across operations. From swiftly managing breakdowns to supporting operational goals and championing Health & Safety initiatives, your commitment to excellence will enhance business efficiency. Conveniently located with on-site off-street parking in vibrant South Auckland. Day shift training: Monday - Friday, 7:35 am - 4:05 pm (3 months). Transition to night shift: 11:45 pm - 7:45 am when you're ready. Weekdays with the option for weekend work and extra pay. Uniform provided. What You Need: NZQA Level 4 Electrical Service Technician (EST) License. NZQA Level 4 Certification in Mechanical Engineering. Proven prowess in maintenance and electrical work, supported by relevant qualifications. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, including PLC and fault finding (Desirable). Hands-on manual skills for effective maintenance operations. Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in the food manufacturing industry (desired, but not essential). Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Capability to excel independently and within a team environment. Prompt and efficient intervention capabilities. Reliability and flexibility to align with food production schedules and training rosters. This is a waged position and local employment terms and conditions will apply.
