Our Security team based in Brisbane is looking for a Graduate Security Engineer that is keen to forge their career in this multidisciplinary and dynamic team. Within this 20 strong national group of Security Engineers, Designers and Drafters, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of local, national and international projects whilst being connected with a global business with over 10,000 professionals. What will you do in the role? Work closely with industry experts to design and develop complex protective security systems incorporating High Security Alarm, Electronic Access Control and Building Management, CCTV including AI analytics and Communications and Radar Systems Work collaboratively with an experienced team on joint venture and iconic projects including large critical infrastructure projects in Defence, Transport and Infrastructure Develop threat and risk profiles collaboratively to complete Security Risk and Threat Assessments with our Cyber and Physical Security Risk team including investigative crime and terrorism event statistics Develop and review designs using modelling systems in a 3D BIM environment to determine: Physical Security Vulnerabilities to defend against real world threats and events: Terrorism Attacks (Hostile Vehicle Mitigation and Explosive and Blast Events) High Security Facilities (Vaults and Armouries) Determining CCTV Camera Functions: Facial Identification Facial Recognition etc. License Plate Recognition Electronic Access Control Functions: Biometrics (Retina and Hand Scan) We're looking for individuals who: Has recently graduated or will graduate at the end of the year with a degree in (Electrical Electronics, Computer Systems or Security Risk Management) Is passionate about the consulting industry Strong communication teamwork and communication skills Any prior experience in an engineering environment will be highly regarded What does the rest of GHD's process look like? From there, the rest of our recruitment process includes: A Video Interview, where you'll get the chance to introduce yourself and make another positive impression on both our TA team and hiring managers. Formal interviews, either in person or via MS Teams. Prior to our interview we'll also ask you to go through some online testing through one of our providers, Saville. An offer, where we'll go through your salary package and the start date for our program, as well as flagging our background checking process.
