Senior Android engineer. Company: ASX-listted / 10,000 employees. Contract length: Initial 6 months with the view to extend (Confirmed funding for 2 years) You will be joining a leading ASX organisation within their digital team, in a cross-functional team working closely with Technical Lead(s), Product Owners, Bas & Test/QA Engineers. Responsibilities: Develop high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions adhering to best practices. Actively participate in all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC), collaborating closely with cross-functional agile teams. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices, automated testing, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance their skills and productivity. Experience required: 5 years experience in native Android app development in aspects of the mobile SDLC life cycle Experience with Jetpack Compose Deep knowledge of the Android SDK Understanding of architecting complex Android solutions, experience in MVVM Strong knowledge of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines An appreciation of good API design in a mobile context in addition to writing & maintaining Unit tests and UI tests
