See yourself in our team The Financial Crime Technology team is accountable to execute on Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) enhancements to processes, systems and skills to ensure the Groups goal of ensuring leading practice in disrupting financial crime. Their strategy is to deliver efficient and quality processes aimed at creating experiences that our customers love, to ensure increased confidence in managing financial crime. We're building a new squad which sits in our "Customer Risk Assessment" Crew (domain) and as the Staff Software Engineer you'll be hands-on leading solutioning, designing, deploying, and maintaining internal & external API's to assess our customer application risk score. As you'll be working with Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) data you'll be using your prior experience of the data handling classification process, and DevSecOps. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your solution design, development, and deployment skills which will directly impact our customers. We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We're interested in hearing from people who Are Staff level full-stack software engineers experienced in the full software development lifecycle using Agile practices (Solution Design, DevSecOps etc.) Have expertise designing and building Core and Web API's Are confident in their solution design capabilities, stakeholder engagement and leading technical conversations in group forums Show the ability to collaborate, present ideas, influence, and challenge stakeholders. Actively are involved in continuous learning, experimentation and innovation, ready to apply and promote industry best patterns and practices Enjoy mentoring and developing more junior engineers Skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team; Data handling classifications knowledge is essential AWS or AzureAWS or Azure, hands on experience is essential CI/CD Tools - Team City, Jenkins, Octopus or GitHub Actions etc Observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus & Grafana Containerization using dockers API Design and Development .NET core 6 or 8 Experience in System Design Working with us Whether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career with CommBank is for you.
