An Exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Network Engineer within the Secure Network Services team in Group Technology. This position will be responsible for providing help with L3 escalations, review and provide the network design inputs, implementation plans and ensuring the standards are enforced. Enable the project teams with lab testing and data discovery. Required to join the weekly on-call roster. Handson network troubleshooting skills to help resolving the high priority incidents is required. You will be required to document network problems, create process documents, and provide input for simplifying complex network architecture while securing the network system by establishing and enforcing policies in line with compliance and governance teams. This position will work closely with network architecture team, engineering, build and run teams. The Senior Network Engineer plays an important role in designing security solution, backup and recovery procedures and plan and undertake Disaster Recovery and testing procedures to ensure effective Disaster Recovery plans are developed, documented, tested, and implemented. In addition, you will liaise with stakeholders to confirm and develop infrastructure requirements and recommend solutions to ensure user requirements are understood and appropriately translated into infrastructure requirements. To be successful in this role, you will need in-depth technical network engineering expertise in a complex organisation, a customer focused mindset and be self-driven. This position requires strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience of of Switching and Routing (BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, VTP, etc), Strong Firewalls (Juniper high-end SRX, CheckPoint, NSX, Fortinet), Load Balancing (F5 - LTM, GTM, APM, ASM). Desirable to have following skillsets. 1) Automation skills with DevOps mindset (Python, Ansible, AWX, Terraform) 2) SDWAN 3) Data analytical skills. MongoDB, ELK stack (Elastic) and Splunk. Proven experience of working in a project and operational role, incorporating planning, implementation, operational management, build and configuration, and troubleshooting is crucial. A general understanding of ITIL and ServiceNow would be warmly welcomed. What's it like to work there?
