Systems Engineer (Windows) Our client is a key provider of communications technologies to Defence. They have an innovative product base and their footprint is growing. They are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer with a strong background in both Windows server technologies and some experience in networking technologies to support a range of ICT engineering programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in design, integration, and testing across the full systems engineering lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Act as ICT SME for the company's products - WIndows Manage project documentation, engineering plans, and system safety documentation Analyse customer requirements and operational scenarios through stakeholder engagement Guide technical meetings and provide systems engineering advice Ensure project delivery within quality, schedule, and budget constraints Support proposals and tenders with pre-sales engineering Identify opportunities for new projects/products based on future technology trends Adhere to company policies/procedures and drive continuous improvement Required Technical Expertise: Microsoft Server technologies (Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy) IP networking, protocols, network testing methodologies Security principles (firewalls, ACLs) Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) Cisco network hardware and IOS (CCNA or equivalent experience) Windows Desktop management Background Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, IT or related major) 5 years' experience in software, communications solutions, traceability and test engineering Proven structured approach to delivering systems engineering projects Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients/stakeholders Ability to work with limited supervision Australian citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance - Current NV1 Join the team and leverage your Windows server and Cisco skills on challenging engineering programs Travel may be required for this office-based role.
