The Role Project Engineer to join our team on the Jervis Bay Road Intersection Upgrade project in the Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast. This role reports to the Project Manager and involves close collaboration with onsite personnel to ensure timely project delivery and high-quality work. This is a permanent position with SRG Global. Upon completion of this project, there will be opportunities to transition to other upcoming and ongoing civil projects. In addition to being part of an excellent team, the successful candidate will gain continuous project exposure, allowing for the further development of technical and project management skills. Works will include: Proposed improvement plan involves grade separating the interchange, the highway will be elevated above the existing road. Design will include dumbbell roundabouts with well-designed on and off ramps. Construction will use a substantial amount of imported fill for a stable foundation. A single-span bridge will be erected, supported by retaining walls. This aims to enhance efficiency and safety of the interchange. Approximately 400 meters of retaining walls, each 8 meters high, will be constructed for stability and integrity of the elevated highway. Key Responsibilities: Prepare project specific documentation including technical, safety, environmental and quality (QSE) deliverables including method statements, MDRs, plans and any other documentation required. Provide technical advice and support to project delivery team to ensure project objectives are achieved Proactively inspect project activities to monitor progress and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings and QSE standards / best practice Assist the Project Manager in directing the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site Project administration as may reasonably be required i.e. preparation / review of timesheets, project reports etc Ensure all project QA documents are site specific, relevant and are implemented to an acceptable standard. Identify, monitor and mitigate risks, actual or potential, to site safety, project budget, schedule and quality. Promote a strong commitment to SRG's Zero Harm culture and high standard of work. The successful applicant will ideally have: TfNSW experience in roadworks R44, utilities or pavements Degree in Civil Engineering Previous experience in a similar role or sufficient experience with road and bridge projects Strong communication and planning skills Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management Willingness / ability to work in remote locations as may be required Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card). Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A Experience using Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and Jobpac are desirable.
