Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas BU, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia. The Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) business is a large scale, world-class CSG to LNG production business where Origin is the upstream operator and domestic gas marketing agent. As the Mechanical Integrity Engineer you will support Asset West production operations and field maintenance activities to ensure they operate safely and meet target production volumes in a cost effective and environmentally responsible way. Responsibilities Technical advice related to static mechanical equipment (performance, maintenance, inspection and testing) during the asset life cycle, and provide mechanical engineering assurance in line with the Management of Change process. This includes assets in Gas Processing and Water Treatment Facilities and Wellsite’s including process piping, pressure equipment, hoses, non-metallic materials and HDPE gathering networks. Review and approval of integrity and inspection scopes and strategies, including data management within Origin’s Asset Integrity Management System NEXUS IC Support fitness for service assessments, Risk Based Inspection (RBI) assessments and remaining life reviews Support in troubleshooting and debottlenecking including problem identification and executing modifications and small projects in accordance with the Management of Change process Assisting and input to process safety and HSE investigations following incidents or observations About you You possess strong communication skills with the ability to build solid relationships across all levels, from frontline staff to senior and executive management. You have excellent influencing and negotiating abilities, as well as the capacity to plan and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure common objectives are met. Proven project engineering and project delivery of small projects Preferred mechanical engineering degree (RPEQ preferred), with several years oil and gas experience preferred A proven employment record demonstrating commitment, drive, determination, organisation skills, and an ability to meet key deadlines A proven ability to manage change processes, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills A sound knowledge of risk management processes and risk-based decision making For more information, please contact Bronwen Franca - 0738670157, quote Requisition ID 86695 or apply now.
