Position Overview: The Senior Project Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and execution of bulk excavation projects. This role requires a deep understanding of earthworks, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage bulk excavation projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on all aspects of bulk excavation, including site preparation, soil management, and safety protocols. Design Coordination: Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bulk excavation projects. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints. Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals. Procurement: Generate scopes for procurement activities and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Reporting: Monitor and report project progress to clients and stakeholders on a regular basis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on bulk excavations and earthworks. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale bulk excavation projects. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in project management software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
