Role Overview: As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with a team of 3 other cloud engineers, contributing to greenfield projects and leveraging your expertise across on-premises and public cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud solutions to meet business requirements. Collaborate with the team to implement and optimize Azure infrastructure and services. Contribute to greenfield projects, from planning through to implementation and support. Ensure security best practices are implemented across Azure environments, with a focus on firewalls and network security. Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise and solutions. Document processes, configurations, and procedures. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, specifically with expertise in Microsoft Azure. Solid understanding of Azure services such as VMs, App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, etc. Experience in a full Microsoft shop environment, including on-premises technologies. Strong knowledge of security principles and practices, especially related to firewalls and network security. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating on projects and initiatives. Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or other scripting languages. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-303) are preferred.
