The Opportunity Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for delivering projects on behalf of Transport for NSW (TfNSW) as part of the agreed additional services program. This role sits within our Capital Works Delivery team and will predominately focus on projects falling outside the routine maintenance works in Sydney Harbour Tunnel. An excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer holding project management experience. The position is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday across standard business hours, however each quarter requires 3 - 5 night shifts to carry out projects within tunnel closure periods. Benefits Join a small dynamic team environment Flexible hours and WFH offered Office location close to North Sydney train station Join an environment where career progression is fostered Access to a range of Ventia's employee benefits - discounted private health insurance, paid parental leave, discounted travel etc Primary responsibilities Project management from conception to delivery and all correlating responsibilities; Ensure projects as agreed with client are delivered on time and in budget: Schedule project activities to suit client's timeline Liaise with vendors and participate in planning activities to facilitate effective delivery Ensure activities are carried out within budget requirements Manage stakeholder expectations: Contribute to regular and reliable forecasting of project costs Contribute to the provision of regular operational updates Support assurance (risk, quality, compliance, safety, value for money) collaboratively with M&T assurance team Support the transition to a network-based model Relevant reporting and presentation to internal and external stakeholders About you Has attained a degree in Electrical Engineering Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel, MS Project. Ability to learn and use general systems/ software when necessary to support the position including Asset Vision and Team Binder Holds a White Card Strong reporting and presentation skills Positive and solution focused individual Relevant industry experience (road/ tunnel / operations and/or construction) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to complete relevant work management documents including asset condition audits, inventory and general operations reports Ability and understanding of safe work methods and implementation of risk assessment and mitigation practices About the contract Ventia was awarded the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset Management Services contract by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) in April 2022. Under this contract, Ventia will provide operations, maintenance, and strategic asset management services for a period of approximately 15 years with a further 2 x10 year options for extension.
