We are seeking a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's innovative team. Responsibilities Lead the development of complex software architecture for various systems. Create modular, readable, and robust code for defence systems, ensuring security and functionality requirements are met. Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems engineering, agile development, review, testing, integration, and verification. Present design details during customer reviews to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and management to ensure comprehensive requirement coverage. Mentor junior software engineers, fostering their development and debugging skills. Write and maintain internal and deliverable documentation, either directly or through contractor supervision. Provide engineering support to manufacturing as needed. Participate in demo activities to share knowledge. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset. Essential Requirements Degree in Software, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in a similar role. Proven experience in architecting complex embedded software systems with a structured verification approach. Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, adhering to development processes. Excellent computer skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. An existing NV1 Security clearance is a mandatory requirement. Desirable Requirements Ability to read and review schematics, identify hardware design issues from a software perspective, and make recommendations. Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for hardware emulation or software verification. Experience in developing firmware Background in developing mission-critical software.
