This role is based out of Alstom's Maintenance depot in Wulkaraka for a 4-month contract with a view to extension. Reporting to Project Quality Manager while responsible for ensuring the Maintenance processes are followed, activities are carried out based on procedures and relevant specifications and ensures that relevant records are produced on time and accurately. Description You will be responsible for implementing, managing and improving all quality relevant elements in the execution of Queensland New Generation Rolling stock (QNGR) contracts. Representing quality in the QNGR project team. Ensuring products are compliant to Engineering specifications and Design requirements. Leading quality and safety activities throughout projects until contract closure. Provide technical support to all internal/external stakeholders on all quality related matters. Investigating and addressing quality concerns, working with stakeholders to resolve and implement corrective actions. Organise relevant projects internal safety assessments and prepare the corresponding safety authorisation report. Managing project material non-conformances, including facilitating all supplier interactions to reduce the cost of non-quality. Coordinate and support customer or supplier inspections. eg: FAI, Acceptance. Profile We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving and product quality. You will also have; Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics). Strong Communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and positively influence cross-functional distributed teams Experience in raising Non-conformance reports (NCR) and managing Non-conforming products. Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management System. Quality Assurance / Quality Control in Rail, Defence, Aviation, Mining, Manufacturing or a similar heavy industry. Working rights in Australia.
