The Opportunity: This program of work is one of the key elements of the support infrastructure that enables capability delivery by the RAN and other ADF customers. The specified services include marine towage and waterborne general harbour services including transferring personnel and stores/equipment, facilitating maintenance, environmental protection, security, fuelling, training support and operating support to ADF exercises and operations. Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Project/Engineering Manager, the role is responsible for executing day-to-day engineering and logistics activities related to: Support for transition of new vessels into service (acquisition): development of OQE for sea release, technical assessment of assets, validation survey, verification of Maintenance Management System Baselines. Support development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs): including development of scope for ECP, management/review of engineering feasibility study/investigation, detailed designs and implementation. Assist in management and verification of Product Baseline (PBL) maintenance requirements remediation: verification of remediation activities and assessment of conformance to contract requirements (OEM, AMSA, N4 Library) Assist development of Class Maintenance Plans (CMP) & Technical Maintenance Plans (TMP) Support management and implementation of Seaworthiness artefacts and frameworks. As the ideal candidate you will bring: Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical). Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar role. Highly developed organisational and analytical skills. Knowledge of design, technical investigation and test Demonstrated abilities to develop positive working relationships through high level communications skills. Desirable: Previous exposure to Australian Defence Force (ADF)/Capability and Support Group (CASG) and/or Marine Engineering Industry is desirable. Experience with configuration management support system applications - Configuration Management Tool (CMT), Asset Maintenance Planning System (AMPS), NAVALLOW and/or MILIS.
