In this role, you'll be the interface for Azure Cloud Engineering & Support activities within the team, working closely with the Technology Services Manager to drive results and new Azure cloud technology enhancements. We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer who is pro-active in nature, and who has a passion for designing, developing and running Azure Cloud solutions in a Microsoft tech-stack environment. Day to day activities will include: Providing technical Cloud Engineering, Administration & Support for Azure Cloud technology stacks & Security Operations. Ensuring that the company's Azure cloud engineering standards within the team are being performed at the highest level and standards. Provide guidance and ideas regarding the Azure Cloud technology stack with how the organisation can improve its cloud capabilities. Managing technical risks and ensuring non-functional requirements are met in line with business objectives and the technology roadmap. Working with existing Cloud Engineers & Infrastructure Engineer’s with a focus on evolving on-premise infrastructure towards automation, cloud and DevOps engineering principles & techniques. Work closely with the company’s Technical Lead’s and business stakeholders on technical road-maps, vision, and requirements. Collaborate with the Technology Services Manager on pragmatic balance between tech, BAU and project work. Skills & experience required in this role: Experience working in Cloud Engineering & Administration within medium to large Enterprise level organisations. Experience managing cloud solution design, security and implementation in Microsoft Azure. Experience with Automation and implementing CI/CD processes. Experience designing or building a new Azure landing zone environment will be highly regarded. Good understanding of Azure DevOps as a core philosophy for delivery and cloud initiatives. Experience working with scripting Languages and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Python and PowerShell. Experience supporting and administering VMware and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Minimum of 4 years supporting and administering Microsoft 365 suite (M365). Supporting and administering network topology. Experience supporting and administering backup technologies, including Azure Backups. Proven working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and governance including networking, policy and security concepts and capabilities. Demonstrated ability to perform and present proof-of-concepts for validating new technologies or approaches. Microsoft Azure cloud certifications.
