About the Role: We currently have a career defining opportunity for a seasoned Head of Engineering Projects APAC to join our Engineering function. Reporting to the Engineering Director APAC, the Head of Engineering Projects APAC will be responsible for leading a wide variety of engineering projects across our APAC manufacturing environment. This pivotal role will see you leading multi-disciplinary teams and exercising your strong commercial acumen, negotiation and contracts management skills, design management and planning experience to deliver high-quality business outcomes. Key Accountabilities: End-to-end execution of capital projects across APAC region, through full project life cycle from business case development, execution to implementation and project handover. Lead, mentor, coach and evaluate the Engineering Projects Team. Develop comprehensive documentation for project initiation and ongoing management (incl. business cases, procurement plans, project planning, financial management, risk management, and communication plans). Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, aligning with project governance structures. Foster open communication between the project team and all business functions (Operations, Finance, IT, Engineering etc). Prepare and ensure authorization of Project Completion documentation from key project stakeholders and Senior Leadership. Lead projects through critical stage gates, including BOD and 80% Tender. Manage the capital expenditure to ensure projects completion within agreed budgetary guidelines. Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and select suppliers and vendors. Monitor and coordinate contractors, optimising value for money. Secures legal documents/insurance in compliance with defined risk management guidelines. Adhere and ensure compliance to all Policies & Procedures within the Integrated Management System, including WHS, Product Quality, Food Safety and Environment. Continually evaluate new technologies and equipment to ensure that our client is at the forefront of the bakery industry. About You: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering professional who is passionate, results-driven, organized, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership traits and possess the ability to effectively manage shifting priorities within a fast-paced and complex manufacturing environment. To thrive in this role, you will need: Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field with credentials in project management are essential. 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar Senior Engineering role ideally in an FMCG/food sector multi-site manufacturing setting. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Autocad and Microsoft applications. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Commercially astute with a demonstrated understanding of financial management and the procurement process. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with curiosity to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Availability for occasional travel as required.
