What you will be doing We're looking for an IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. With a focus on safeguarding VEC's data and infrastructure, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our security posture. Reporting directly to the Security and Cloud Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for: Leading activities in support of continuous compliance with Australian and Global Cyber Security standards and frameworks Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and compliance of ICT security systems and standards, including submitting recommendations to improve non-compliant security controls Providing expert advice surrounding ICT security through the development of procedures, manuals, and user guides for business-wide use Conducting readiness reviews to ensure projects have the appropriate level of maturity before proceeding to production. What you will bring to the role Proven expertise and experience in cyber security best practices and controls gained through relevant qualifications or certifications and / or relevant industry experience Demonstrated ability to employ sound investigation and problem-solving skills Demonstrated capacity to identify and improve processes and procedures Strong stakeholder management skills partnered with effective communication skills Commitment to the VEC's core values How to apply All applicants must submit: a current CV and a separate document with responses to Key Selection Criteria (KSC) 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 6.5 and 6.8 as listed in the position description.
