Position: VOIP Engineer Location: Mulgrave Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 Job Type: Permanent Position Overview: A leading managed service provider is recruiting a VoIP Engineer. This is a newly created role within a supportive, 21st-century team environment. You will have the opportunity to manage your projects autonomously. Free car parking and heaps of additional incentives. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of 3CX and other VoIP systems. Support and integrate VoIP solutions with other UC tools, including instant messaging, video conferencing, and collaboration platforms. Ensure the stability, performance, and security of VoIP and UC systems through regular monitoring, maintenance, and updates. Resolve technical issues related to VoIP and UC systems, providing advanced troubleshooting and support. Manage VoIP projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and documentation. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of VoIP systems, configurations, processes, and procedures. Work closely with other IT teams and departments to support communication needs and initiatives. Provide training and support to end-users and junior staff on VoIP and UC systems. Role Requirements: Experience in VoIP engineering, with a focus on 3CX and Unified Communications solutions. Understanding of VoIP technologies, protocols (SIP, RTP), and UC platforms. Relevant certifications (e.g., 3CX, Cisco CCNA Voice, CompTIA Network, ITIL) are highly desirable. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to manage and execute VoIP projects effectively. Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Technical Requirements: Experience with 3CX VoIP systems. Knowledge of SIP, RTP, and other VoIP protocols. Familiarity with UC tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Slack. Understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VLANs. Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and macOS operating systems. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques for VoIP and UC systems. Experience with security practices and tools for VoIP and UC environments. We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
