Role: DevOps Engineer with JIRA Note On Project Details:- Atlassian L2 DevOps (Product) Team for Project Services reporting to · The team will work with and shadow the current JIRA SME for the rest of the year to gain necessary knowledge to perform scope · The team will be responsible as the resolver group for SNOW Queue – DIG / JIRA Confluence which is currently managed by Service Rocket · The team will work towards transitioning from JIRA mailbox to queue-based model in service now over time · The team will coordinate with Level 3 Service Rocket Offshore where required · The team will build technical and functional knowledge base and close any gaps to ensure the platform and business applications can be sustainably operated and maintained by another vendor / managed services if this product team is no longer required. · The team will work within the IT guardrails, ensuring changes are managed and documented appropriately and the right people are involved for changes that impact the platform or user base. · The team will complete timesheets for non-project services related activities that require significant effort and work with Project Services cost controllers for cost recovery. Project consultation (mostly technical/application specific and non-functional): 1.Kind of Jira project suited to business requirements 2.Identifying/discussing the pros and cons of each type of project suited for business (think PCR vs PCR lite vs TDRQs) 3.Identifying relevant : Workflow statuses, Issue types Project configuration/setup including but not limited to : 1.Choosing the relevant fields and configuring/re-configuring them 2.Managing Project access, security around certain fields/projects if need be 3.Managing data exports 4.Implementing plugins if need be for project requirement (e.g. detailed Cost and schedule impact tables for a Project Change Request) 5.Creating Scripts (in Groovy language) to modify the behaviour of certain JIRA functionalities screens Co-ordination with Service Rocket Offshore or IT Business Partners: 1.Co-ordinating incidents/requests with Level 3 Service Rocket where required and part of the Level 3 scope 2.Co-ordination around Application/Infra Support and testing 3.Reviewing the technical changes done by Service Rocket to make sure it conforms to business/project requirement.
