A compelling opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading industry innovator in the design of hyperbaric chambers As a global in the design and manufacture of rectangular hyperbaric chambers, our client looking to add an additional Lead Electrical Engineer to their growing engineering team. About The Role Based out of the Geelong office and reporting directly to the General Manager of Engineering, your responsibilities will include: Electrical System Design : Design comprehensive power, lighting, communication, control and instrumentation systems, integrating them into hyperbaric chamber environments, ensuring compatibility with multidisciplinary engineering components Manufacturing Support : Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee the production of hyperbaric chambers, providing technical guidance, resolving design issues, and ensuring adherence to specifications Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that designs and manufacturing processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices and pressure vessels Installation and Commissioning : Support the installation and commissioning of chambers at client sites, working closely with installation teams to ensure proper assembly, testing, and operational readiness Maintenance : Provide technical support to field service teams to assist in addressing inquiries and troubleshooting operational issues Documentation : Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, engineering drawings and bill of materials. About You As the ideal applicant, you will have: A tertiary qualification in Engineering Recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) by Engineers Australia A senior level of professional experience (circa 8 years) as an electrical engineer in a highly technical environment – e.g. controlled environments, mining, petrochemical, transport, manufacturing Experience in the design and documentation of power circuits (single and three phase), communication, control and instrumentation systems, ideally within a controlled environment setting A thorough understanding of applicable Australian electrical engineering standards High proficiency in modelling and drafting in relevant engineering software – such as Rhino and AutoCAD Experience integrating and testing electrical systems, validating performance and ensuring safety and functionality Hands on instrumentation wiring capabilities Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience working with a variety of project stakeholders including multidisciplinary engineers, manufacturers, subcontractors, regulatory authorities and clients Additionally, the following characteristics will set you up for success: Strong analytical abilities to identify design challenges, propose innovative solutions, and optimize designs for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
