About you Demonstrated experience on wastewater treatment plant (or equivalent industrial) construction projects. Individuals with a passion for the water industry, and a desire to contribute to an enjoyable workplace. A desire to be "at the coalface", balancing site-based planning with work in the field. Drivers licence & vehicle About the role As the lead mechanical engineer on site you will be responsible for: Leading the mechanical delivery team, including a senior mechanical supervisor and junior engineers Delivering all mechanical aspects of the scope, including equipment, structural steel, and above ground piping. Overseeing the procurement and management of all mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring that all materials and equipment is available to be installed when required. Reviewing current mechanical designs, creating material take-offs and raising RFIs where necessary, including direct liaison with the client's team. Managing mechanical installation subcontracts and equipment and material supply agreements, including constant interactions with installation subcontractors on site. Managing the mechanical installation schedule, including interfaces with material and equipment supply. Managing the mechanical installation finances, including cost forecasting against budget.
