How will I help? Join our team as a Principal Network Engineer (Network Automation) and play a pivotal role in driving automation delivery for mid to large-scale networking projects as well as leading run initiatives. You'll spearhead network automation team to provide guidance and technical leadership in code design and architecture. Lead the Automation and orchestration platform configuration and best practices. This role entails crafting scripts and playbooks/cookbooks to seamlessly automate bulk network modifications. Your expertise will extend to scripting for database queries, bolstering the databases housing network telemetry and status information. Your adeptness with Ansible, Terraform, and Python will be instrumental in supporting our network automation platform. Expertise in Networking Software Development: A proven track record in developing software applications within the networking domain, showcasing your ability to tackle complex network challenges. Experience with Firewall Infrastructure ie Juniper SRX, Security Director/Fortinet FortiGate, Forti Manager and F5 Load balancer. Mastery of Automation Tools: Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform, including a demonstrated capability to craft custom plugins and modules that streamline network operations. Infrastructure and Configuration as Code: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and config-as-code principles, allowing you to architect scalable and efficient network configurations. Ecosystem Familiarity: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux, enabling you to leverage containerization and optimize network performance. Programming Proficiency: A high level of expertise in a mainstream programming language, preferably Python, to create robust and efficient network automation solutions. Database Mastery: Proficiency in designing and executing effective database queries, coupled with hands-on familiarity with MongoDB. Software Testing Acumen: A deep understanding of software testing strategies, along with the ability to construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines, to ensure smooth testing and release processes.
