Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer - 3 Month contract Location: Mawson Lakes, Adelaide Start Date: Early August Duration: Initial contract until mid-October, with potential extension for the right candidate Security Clearance: NV1 required Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design and implement policies, automation procedures, auditing, monitoring, and logging requirements, with a focus on Cyber and IT. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement infrastructure solutions within the Azure Cloud environment. Configure Azure policies and establish landing zones. Perform hands-on implementation and ongoing maintenance of Azure infrastructure. Collaborate with Cyber assurance stakeholders to design secure solutions. Design and implement Azure networking solutions. Configure and manage Azure Firewall. Design and implement Azure Storage accounts. Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, backups, and patching procedures for Azure-based workloads. Manage Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory. Work with platforms in restricted and air-gapped networks (highly desirable). Operate in highly regulated cyber environments (highly desirable). Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation in Azure Cloud. Expertise in configuring Azure policies and landing zones. Strong hands-on experience with Azure implementation and maintenance. Proficiency in designing and implementing Azure networking solutions. Expertise in managing Azure Firewall and Storage accounts. Extensive experience with monitoring, logging, backups, and patching procedures in Azure. Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory. Experience in documentation and knowledge sharing within teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience in a Defence-related industry (highly desirable). Additional Information: Candidates must be located in Adelaide. The role requires working from the Mawson Lakes office.
