This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and passionate graduate Design Engineer to succeed. In this role you will be primarily responsible delivering and maintaining high quality CAD mechanical designs to facilitate the manufacture of machines to company and customer specification. Effectively communicating across multiple stakeholders, you will deliver advice on current designs, assist with drawing interpretation and troubleshooting, and support customers on spare parts with your superior technical knowledge. Key areas of responsibility include: Utilise CAD software to design layouts and machine modifications, prepare general arrangement and 3D models, including assemblies and sub-assemblies Produce manufacturing drawings Ensure all project specifications are implemented to each solution Lead communication and workflow between stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of design projects The successful candidate will have: 1-5 years mechanical design drafting experience Mechanical background in design of production machinery, with a focus on food and beverage highly regarded Demonstrated experience in drafting structural weldments and sheet metal components highly regarded In depth knowledge of engineering machined components including a solid working understanding of machining tolerances and practices Strong communication skills Experienced in use of Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD The ability to perform tasks autonomously with minimal supervision The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions.
