They are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis to help drive success. This is an Initial 3-6 month contract, kicking off in August/September, and requires candidates to be onsite daily at their site in East Melbourne. The Job As a Production/Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a leading role in ensuring that products are manufactured with exceptional efficiency and quality. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to protocols and the effective use of technology and equipment. The Responsibilities Lead the introduction of new products and processes, ensuring seamless integration into production. Manage production costing, BOMs, and routings, and integrate them into our ERP systems. Utilize your knowledge of GD&T to provide valuable feedback on manufacturing methods and suggest improvements. Design production tooling, jigs, and gauges using SolidWorks CAD Develop and recommend improvements for production processes to enhance efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure smooth production. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Proven experience in manufacturing or production engineering, preferably within the automotive sector Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD for tooling design. Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes. Experience with ERP systems and APQP processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
