The Client: IGroup Consulting is an IT Consulting Systems Integration firm that delivers comprehensive IT services to leading clients in Australia. They are a full IT solutions provider that offers a range of expertise targeting the Financial Services, Communications, Retail, High-Technology and Government and Educational Sector industries through Australia. They now seek an experienced Software Engineer to join the team in Epping, Victoria. The Role: This is a full time role with an annual salary between $80,000 to $85,000 depending on experience plus superannuation. The Responsibilities: Investigate the existing information systems and observe the business processes to identify functional and non-functional requirements and bottlenecks of the current business processes Construct the database design by analysing the information gathered Divide the proposed solution into logical modules and write codes using Java Monitor software bugs and inconsistencies of the developing software using JIRA and fix them accordingly Supervise UI designing and development process Collaborated with the management, team members and cross-functional departments to communicate key project information (Project statuses, Problem areas, etc.) Conduct presentations to the management to demonstrate system functionalities of completed modules using flowcharts, layouts, and diagrams Provide end-user training sessions to facilitate successful system implementation Assist with the deployment process by configuring the system environment Provide ongoing maintenance to the software by fixing bugs, providing necessary system enhancements and upgrades Research, consult, analyse and evaluate system program needs of the company Undertake all assigned software engineering activities (system analysis, design, development) in accordance with the identified project directives and standards Analyse system requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints Implement changes to uplift the quality, security, and functionality of existing program code The Requirements: Relevant Bachelor degree qualifications in IT or related At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate setting At least 2 years experience in developing CRM or ERP applications Must possess these technical skillsets and competencies: Programming Languages - Java, J2EE, J2SE, JSP Servlets, JavaScript, HTML5, XML Frameworks and Design Pattern - Spring Reporting Tools - Jasper Reports Databases - MySQL Web Technologies and Services - Ajax, jQuery, CSS, REST, SOAP, Angular Mobile Technologies - Android Servers - Apache Tomcat, Glass Fish Tools - NetBeans IDE, Git, JIRA, Postman, Mysql GUI Methodologies - Agile Software Development, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Have an in depth understanding of APIs integration (MYOB, MPS Monitor and HP SDS) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT experience in the software engineering discipline and the software engineering lifecycle with exposure to multiple software development lifecycle phases Strong analytical skills and sound administration skills Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts Ability to work to tight deadlines and under immense pressure at times
