They now seek a skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join their team in Bella Vista. The Role It is for a full-time role with an annual salary between $85,000 to $95,000 Superannuation. Responsibilities Develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Follow and execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) Develops software solutions by researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs Conferring with users, and study systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods Investigate problem areas, run testing, troubleshooting, debugging, modelling, simulation, testing, and quality assurance. Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. Perform maintenance and software integrations for existing systems Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products. Protecting operations by keeping information confidential. Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. Identify and assess new technologies prior to implementation whilst maintaining compliance with industry standards Requirements At least a Bachelor Degree in Computer- Software Engineering related discipline At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate setting Must have relevant database design/administration experience (Design, implementation, modification). Have at least 4 years' experience with Ingres RDMS and Open-Road At least 4 years software development experience in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ Must have minimum 4 years commercial experience and knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) At least 4 years' experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) Experience with test-driven development and Proficiency in software engineering tools Strong communication, attention to details and organisational skills Possess critical and analytical thinking skills.
