Job Description Summary Technical tendering engineer to support the Inquiry To Order (ITO) objectives by providing a technically compliant winning proposals for the PT Service business. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: - Inquiry to Order (ITO) Tendering process responsibility in the countries/ regions allocated, technical support to Sales manager and aligned to business objectives; - Provide technically acceptable solutions in response to inquiry coming from Customers, Sales Manager, End User, from product technical definition to cost and price generation. - Responsible for technically compliant proposal to match the customer's specification, in coordination with engineering when needed. - Responsible of accurate costing and lead time definition, in coordination with procurement and supply chain when needed. - Responsible for writing up the RFQs for suppliers to invite quotations - Responsible of tracking documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. This also includes Order To Revenue (OTR) part where engineers work on customizing the products and implementing it for specific customer needs - May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. - Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. (Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters). - Coordinates effectively with the Supplying units, factories to provide the clear scope definition and obtains the quotation. - Follows the process defined in Salesforce system (Speak4GE) rigorously. Will be required to implement financial instructions and governance as directed. - Responsible for identifying Risks & Opportunities, draw up Estimate Analysis Sheets (EA sheets). - Support Sales in Go-No Go decisions, RFQ definition, feasibility, and negotiations. - Should be able to operate based on cadence and rhythm setup by the business. - Must be able to control and monitor own workload, anticipate, and escalate appropriately. - Business travelling to meet customers, perform site survey and sometimes attend negotiations with Sales will be required. Qualifications / Requirements: - Advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Customer Application Engineering. - Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree (or a high school diploma with relevant experience). - Knowledge of erection, testing, commissioning, maintenance of Generator Circuit Breakers, High voltage Circuit Breakers and Gas Insulated Substations is essential. - Knowledge of MS office, Salesforce - Good understanding of how work of one team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Desired Characteristics: - Knowledge of legacy GE Grid engineering BOM - Knowledge of GE manufacturing process - Knowledge of GE Grid GCB or AIS/ Power Transformer maintenance/ testing/ commissioning/ RME - Knowledge of customer profile in the Pacific for the GIS/ GCB/ AIS installed base - Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. - Customer Focus - Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems - Must be able to operate within a team cohesively and support team members.
