Rubix Solutions is seeking for Systems Engineer based in Sydney/Canberra Initial Term: 12 months Extension options: 2 x 12-month periods Canberra Based Rubix Solutions is seeking for Systems Engineer based in Canberra. The Systems Engineer will be accountable under general direction to manage complex activities and tasks relating to requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification and validation. The role will support planning, organisation, integration and delivery of complex systems engineering services and products. The role will need systems engineering skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical and non-technical personnel. The program of work has multiple projects which range in size. The successful candidate may be required to work across one or more of these projects. Responsibilities and Requirements: Work with project managers, product owners, business analysts and senior customers on the design of integrated ICT solutions that support organisational outcomes within the constraints of a technology roadmap. Provide engineering solutions that demonstrate awareness of dependencies and the need to collaborate and integrate with external agencies or partners. Undertake impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs. Lead the analysis of complex systems and apply engineering expertise to identify and recommend courses of action. Escalate risks/issues and seek advice from the customer, Project manager or Engineering Manager in a timely manner. Lead documentation suite development, ensuring high quality products. Engage with relevant stakeholders in the documentation development. Lead components of the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures, and working cohesively and flexibly with the broader project team, key business partners and stakeholder groups. Plan and drive activities to develop organisational systems integration and build capabilities including automation and continuous integration. Ability to work in a high security environment with sensitivity reticence and discretion. Security Clearance: Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, at least a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance before commencing work.
