Job Description The Opportunity We are currently looking for a hard-working, innovative, and knowledgeable Civil Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis based at our Perth Airport head office with occasional travel required in regional areas. As the Civil Engineer you will be responsible for providing Engineering analysis, advice and solutions for effective management of civil and structural assets. The role will be managing day to day functioning of Structures inspectors and reports to Senior Structures Engineer. The Role In this role you will be responsible for: Providing Engineering analysis, advice and solutions for effective management of bridges, culverts, rail formation and earthworks under direction of Senior Engineer – Structures Managing routine structural inspections by effective scheduling and reporting and assist in preparing CAPEX and OPEX work programs. Developing and implementing standards related to all civil and structures assets and drainage for railways, including longitudinal and cross drainage and hydrology/hydraulic assessments. Developing and implementing appropriate inspection regime for all civil drainage assets and training field staff. Carrying out engineering analysis of existing civil assets and identify issues, categorise them based on risk matrix and provide solutions for high-risk areas/issues. Effective use of Arc GIS software, hydrological and hydraulic analysis software like GIS Hydro tools, RORB, HEC RAS etc. Use of Civil and Structural software for Engineering analysis Assist Third Party Projects and Major project teams and carry out technical reviews and provide technical advice related to drainage / hydrology and other civil related issues. About You To be successful in this role we need you to have: 5 years Engineering and Asset management experience in Rail, Road, Mining or Heavy industry Experience in Rail/road related earthworks, slope stability analysis, civil and structural asset inspection, and management. Experience in Hydrological analysis and Use of GIS for hydrological analysis. Experience in an operational railway is preferred. Experience in consultancy is preferred. Experience in the use of design software for Civil and Structural assets is highly regarded. Previous experience in similar role preferred.
